Dreadlock Tobacco

A statement in texture and tone, the cushion in Tobacco is defined by its depth — a dense composition of hand-spun wool that brings weight, warmth, and presence to a space.

Handwoven in Chiloé, Chile, this piece features thick, layered strands of wool that extend outward from a tightly woven base. The result is richly tactile and sculptural, with a surface that shifts in light and shadow.

The deep tobacco tone introduces a grounding element — darker, more concentrated, and more architectural than its lighter counterparts. It anchors a setting, creating contrast against softer neutrals and adding a sense of permanence.

Each strand is formed by hand, with natural variation in density, length, and tone. No two pieces are identical — the irregularity is integral to the character of the work.

This is not a background piece. It is designed to hold space.
