Dreadlock Brown

A handwoven wool cushion defined by its depth and tonal richness — an expressive surface of layered, hand-spun wool in natural brown hues.

Crafted in Chiloé, Chile, this piece features thick, looped strands that extend outward from the base weave, creating a dense, sculptural composition. Unlike lighter variations, the deeper brown tones introduce weight and contrast — grounding a space with a more architectural presence.

The interplay of colour within the wool — soft browns, warm greys, and natural variation — gives the piece a lived-in, organic quality. It feels raw, yet considered.

Each strand is formed and placed by hand, resulting in variation across every piece. Differences in tone, density, and movement are inherent to the process and form part of its character.

Used as a focal point, it anchors a setting. Layered, it adds contrast against softer, more neutral textiles.
