Terra Vessel

Terra is a one-of-a-kind ceramic vessel by Ilona Golovina of MUGLY.NYC, formed in terracotta clay and finished with terra sigillata.

The rounded form draws from the language of the Korean moon jar, while the surface shifts toward earth — dry, cracked, and materially expressive. The texture reads as weathered and grounded, with tonal variation that moves subtly across the body.

Part of a recent series exhibited at Salon Art and Design in New York, the work reflects a move toward earth-based materiality, where surface and form carry equal weight.

Intended as a sculptural object.
